What to see in Ohrid
Walk through the old town to the Church of St. John at Kaneo, with the most famous view of the lake. Climb up to Samuel's Fortress, visit the Ancient Theatre and end the day with a boat ride. If you have more time, St. Naum Monastery, at the south end of the lake, is worth a half-day trip. And if you stop in Skopje before you leave, see the best of Skopje.

Trip at a glance
- Duration: about 3 hours
- Price: from €13 one way, from €19 return
- Operators: Classic Company and Makedonija Saobraćaj
- Departure station in Skopje: Skopje Bus Station
Careful: Ohrid has more than one station
This is the most important thing to know. In Ohrid, the

- Makedonija Saobraćaj departs from Tamaro Station.
Before you travel, always check the station name on your ticket and don't assume the bus departs from the main station.
Practical tips
- Arrive 30 minutes before departure. That gives you time to find your bus without stress.
- Carry some cash (denars). Some travellers have told us they were asked to check in at the counter or pay a small platform fee at Skopje station.
- Keep your ticket on your phone. Gjirafa Travel tickets can also be saved to Apple Wallet.
- Travelling from Kosovo? First take the bus from Prishtina to Skopje, then continue to Ohrid. Leave enough time between the two buses.
